The nose is immediately appealing, with notes of an almost-fruitcake fruit and spice character, interweaving with hints of smoky oak. The palate is rich and ripe, with intense and concentrated black fruit at its core and enswathed in dense, ripe tannins. A big wine, but showing a delicious lightness of touch and overall sense of grace and freshness. Very good.

A strongly aromatic wine, it shows the freshness of the vintage along with great rich layers of fruit and firm tannins. It’s a wonderfully juicy wine, full of black fruits, acidity and a dark structure. The potential is considerable, so don’t drink before 2018.
