Of the red Feudi Studi wines I tasted this year, the 2013 Taurasi Feudi Studi Rosamilia is my favorite. Only 2,000 bottles were produced. What I liked most is the purity, sharpness and freshness that is so effortlessly delivered here. The wine is fermented in stainless steel vats and later transferred to barrique where it ages for 20 months. The fruit is tight, compact and firm. However, this wine will surely unwind and put on more volume as it continues its slow bottle evolution.
