Didier Daugueneau Blanc Fume De Pouilly

描述

On the right bank of the Loire, in front of Sancerre, lies Pouilly, the kingdom of Sauvignon Blanc, the white ‘fumé’ (smoked in French). The strong expression of the different components of the terroir, combined with the distinct character of the variety, distinguishes Pouilly-Fumé from any other white wine made with Sauvignon Blanc. Didier Dagueneau consecrated himself as the great master of this type of wine and his son Benjamin Dagueneau continues his father’s work just as successfully. The Blanc de Pouilly is the most modest of the Dagueneau wines, although it has all the characteristics that stand out in the greatest – Silex and Pur Sang -: intensity, power and the character of the terroir. A very fresh, fruity nose with citrus aromas and the typical smoky note. Incredibly intense in the mouth, beautiful ripe yellow fruits and a gigantic minerality. Very nicely balanced with a long, grand finale.
