Wine Advocate: “Charles Lachaux has made a number of decisive changes since taking over direction of this domaine from his father Robert. Biodynamic viticulture inspired by Lalou Bize-Leroy, extensive use of whole bunch vinification, and a much more modest use of new oak are among the most critical. Charles’ ambition is to produce ever more concentrated fruit in the vineyards to obviate the need to search for concentration in the cellar. His 2015s are attractively pure, fragrant and transparent, though I’m sure the best is yet to come—and with appellations like these, Charles’ best will be very good indeed.” (04/2018)
